Hey all,

I've followed the step-by-step guide but somehow an almost empty page occurs after I've submitted my install. I don't understand what goes wrong, can somebody help me? Maybe I've made a mistake:

> In Cyberduck, my root folder is named "/"
> I create a folder there, named "Secretary"
> I drop all download content in that folder
> I change permissions to 755 if needed
> I go to www.[yourdomain.com]/Secretary/install.php. and I fill in all my information. My website URL / address is www.[yourdomain.com]/Secretary/
> empty page with blue top bar occurs

    Same thing is happening to me... Nothing occurs and there is no site.php created anywhere. I was quite excited to try this cms, is it possible to fix this?

    I am working on finding the source of this error.

    In the meantime, see if this works:

    • Create a file called config.inc.php in the [secretary_folder]/system/assistants folder
    • Paste this into and fill out the information appropriately:
    $settings['DB_SERVER']= "your_server";
    $settings['DB_NAME']= "database_name";
    $settings['DB_USERNAME']= "database_username";
    $settings['DB_PASSWORD']= "database_password";
    $settings['COOKIE_TIME']= "604800";
    $settings['COOKIE_PATH']= "/";
    $settings['COOKIE_DOMAIN']= ".";
    $settings['SKIN']= "starling";

    my site has been moved to a different server and stopped working, so I decided to reinstall and got this blank page too. I do get config.inc.php file with all the correct information in it though. Any more ideas how to fix this? Thanks!

    Please update to version 2.4. This should fix the issue. Let me know.

    Hello, I've just upgraded version 2.4 and the same problem occurs.
    After login, page is empty.
    I've filled in install.php but changes are not saved.
    What can I do?

    Hey, ghleor! Same thing was going on here and after a number of atempts, somehow I managed to fix it. Here is what I did:
    - Backed up and deleted all files from the previous installation;
    - Created a new mySql database;
    - Updated PHP to 5.5 (my server was running 5.4 and I wasn't aware of it);
    - Installed secretary 2.3, downloaded from github. I tryed 2.4 but the error persisted.
    That worked for me. I hope it might be useful for you too.

    The user wasn't inserted in database.

    I've been having the same problem. Then I checked the PHP version my server runs, and it's 5.4. In this case where can I find Secretary 2.3? GitHub seems to only have version 2.4
